Teaching in Nepal

My first experience was in Kathmandu Nepal in a Tibetan Monastery, teaching from little 6 year old kids up to 20 year old youngsters. It was a big challenge as they didn’t know a word in english, and i don’t speak tibetan or nepali either, so it was a lot about showing images for vocabulary. Grammar wasn’t yet a task. I was getting food and a bed in exchange. The people were very poor, and only ate Dal Bhat and milk tea for the three meals.
The heat was 40 ÂșC and the lights were shut at 11:00 in the whole city. The friendliest people I’ve ever met in my life.
