Live and teach in one of the most beautiful, historical regions of Spain. Bordering the Pyrenees, Navarra is located in Northern Spain. Its many attractions include its idyllic countryside, the nearby beaches of Donostia-San Sebastian, and excellent connections to Madrid, Zaragoza and Bilbao for city lovers. Navarra is internationally renowned for the running of the bulls in its capital, Pamplona, during the San Fermín festival every July. The school itself is in Tafalla, a small town south of Pamplona on the river Cidacos, with a medieval air in its highest part and a more modern atmosphere in the centre where most of the shops and services are found. A historic royal palace is a short bus ride away.
The language school, founded 25 years ago, offers a full range of classes varying in ages and levels, giving you a great opportunity to develop your teaching skills. The timetable consists of 25-30 teaching hours per week, mostly in the mornings, with the possibility of some occasional evening classes. Most importantly, you will have weekends off, so you can explore and enjoy everything that Spain has to offer.
For the opportunity to grow as a teacher in a comfortable and supportive environment, this is the place to be. You will be trained in phonics methods and Cambridge exams, as the school also operates as a preparation centre. You would join a team of friendly, native English teachers. Your future colleagues are a sociable bunch and have a contagious enthusiasm, creating a cheerful and positive team atmosphere.
Teachers at the school have said –
- “A great school to work for! Especially as a new teacher.”
- “I would highly recommend working here to anyone who is serious about developing their teaching, and who wants a real adventure living in a genuine working town amongst some of the most beautiful countryside I’ve seen.”
- “The staff have been incredibly friendly and helpful during my time here, offering advice and support whenever I have needed it. The classes have been interesting and engaging. This is in part due to the fact that teachers are given a variety of classes, both in terms of age range and level.”
