Atlantic Group is recruiting an Academic Manager for our In-School teaching programs in Hanoi.
Atlantic’s In-School programs currently employ more than 20 English language teachers across a large number of schools in Hanoi and nearby provinces. We have exciting–and challenging–plans to expand and improve this program for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Academic Manager who is ready to put their mark on a growing program with a strong vision. We also welcome applications from those with Senior Teacher / Academic Coordinator experience, who are eager to take the next step in their careers.
The Academic Manager (AM) will be responsible for the day-to-day academic functioning of Atlantic’s In-school teaching program. The AM will be assisted in this work by an Academic Coordinator and a Head Teacher. The AM will also work closely with the Operations Manager as well as the Director of Studies, to ensure smooth functioning of the program and alignment with Atlantic’s overall mission.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position. Occasional weekend work will be required.
The AM’s duties include:
Managing a teaching team and leading recruitment of teachers for next year
Designing and implementing an induction and professional development program
Leading curriculum development
Working closely with operations to solve daily issues
Attending school meetings and other events as necessary
Contributing to the overall mission of the company
CELTA or CertTESOL + minimum 5 years’ teaching experience (Delta / DipTESOL preferred)
Experience of teaching in a state school context (preferably in Vietnam)
Experience of teaching across a range of ages and levels (especially secondary and high school)
Clean criminal record check from home country and from Vietnam
Previous experience of leading a teaching team and developing curriculum
Recognized teacher training experience (eg, tutor for Cambridge / Trinity courses)
Start date: March or April (preferred)
Compensation: from 68 million VND / month, depending on qualifications and experience
